Hi All
I had a bit of a dilema
I was just wonderign if anyone could recommend the best thign to use
I left some pans on the side - i had no motivation to wash them basically and the bottom if the baking tray must of been wet because when i took it off the countertop it has left this big rust patch on the counter and its dyed the top of it (counters white btw) so it really shows up adn looks awful.
Any ideas with what would be the best thing to remove it - i dont have any kitchen cleaner - i tried bathroom cleaner but it didnt budge it! Ive got bicarb though adn thats abotu it - im just wondering if i should go and invest in some star drops tomorrow - will that shift it?? Ive sat and scrubbed it with washing up liquid and hot water but to no avail.

Well you could try either Washing Soda (not Bicarb) and a damp cloth or
soak a piece of kitchen towel in Cola and leave on the mark for a few hours. - Cola contains Phosphoric Acid, this reacts with Rust and should remove the mark.My Mind wanders, if found please return.0 -
According to this link:

lemon juice & salt will remove rust stains from fabric, so that might be worth a try on your counter top.0 -
Bog standard household bleach removes most worktop stains...0

Cif (with or without bleach) cleans rust marks off my worktops every time, and with very little effort.0
