I think that is a good deal. About 8 months ago we got a DC14 All floors and that cost just over £200 and that was with 20% off it! I like the Dyson. Some people don't, but I really like the way it sucks up! They are heavier than some, but I wouldnt be without mine.0

Hi
Forget Dyson. If you want performance + quality at a reasonable price, go for a Miele Cat & Dog TT-5000. I believe Tribal UK are the cheapest, you can also read what other people think of this:

yeah had a look at this - looks brilliant - only drawback is it is a bagged one0

I swear by Dyson and would never choose another machine. Let me tell you why...
I purchased a Dyson DC04 four years ago. It was going strong until last year when it lost power and started making a funny noise, and then overheating and cutting out.
I called Dyson and a friendly technician was happy to give me detailed advice over the phone. He went through a diagnostic check with me and it turned out that there was a blockage in one of the pipes and the filter needed cleaning. Issues I was able to deal with myself quite easily.
After this it was as good as new. However, last week the motor blew. I went on eBay to look for spares and found you could buy good reconditioned machines for cheaper than the cost of a new motor.
There are loads on eBay for as little as £20 for a DC04. If you can get one in your local area for free collection, even better. Otherwise you're looking at about £15 for delivery. I have now purchased a reconditioned DC07 for £30 with free collection and I am looking at picking up a seriously cosmetically damaged DC04 with a working motor for just a couple of quid to fix my old Dyson.
Overall, Dysons are very user-friendly machines and the parts are generally cheap and easy to replace without using an expensive enineer.
My advice is to take good care of the washable lifetime filter and give it and the cylinder bin a good wash out everytime you empty it. And if it ever loses power, cuts out, etc. after the warranty has expired, don't assume its ready for the scrap heap.0 -
Which? testing has said that the only dyson best buy is the DC14 all floors. The only other vaccuums that they recommend are Miele and these really are the best to buy but yes they rae bagged and as all bags, you can smell the difference!
Thanks for posting the dc14 price as I was about to buy once from argos for £200!
