I went in yesterday and there were a couple of things I noticed had been previously a bit cheaper a few weeks back, were now marked up to a dearer price and so 50% off the dearer price. There was a sticker with the new dearer price stuck over the previous cheaper price.
Dont know how they get away with that :(

The things that were cheaper a few weeks back, were probably part of our Mothers Day promo. Certain items had 30% discount off, so after Mothers Day the prices went back to normal. Then the 50% pomo started, so prices are half of the full price.

prices are half of the full price
which in whittards seem to be more expensive than elsewhere eg the smallest box of Lindt chocs (red box) I buy regularly in others shops @ 99p or less is priced at £1.50 in whittards so 50% off that is 75p so although a small saving is hardly half price of what you would noramlly pay in other shops

Their full price is a bit inflated to begin with.

Are shops allowed to open on Easter Sunday? I thought we still had a rule that all big stores had to close.........

The Whittard shops I've seen aren't very big - smaller than my local corner shop. Although my local is in a shopping arcade which is closed on Sunday although the other arcade nearby is open.

Wasn't shooting anyone, was just stating a fact.

Sorry to be pedantic, but the chocs you're talking about are only 1.29 in our shop!!

Although I agree that some of the Lindt prices are moe expensive than in other shops, we normally have a lot of bulk buys, for example the Lindt easter eggs are 6.50 each or 2 for 8.00. Elsewhere, the cheapest I have seen is 4.99, making ours cheaper if you want to buy 2.

Well - I'm very happy, got some Lindt bunnies for 37p (small) and 74p medium sized..... Our Easter Bunny is very pleased with this and may be persuaded to leave them in the garden now, instead of Mini creme eggs.... :D

Not all the Whittards offers are on the website.

I was looking for some half-price mugs. Was in Nottingham and got some decent large mugs from a tenner down to a fiver.

However, prior to that I searched their website and the offer wasn't there.

Definately worth going in and checking! ;)
