The Thanks button is often used for this.

I have read phoning is not the best option.

There are two reasons for this:

• People are worried about the stress of talking directly on the phone and that they will be bullied into agreeing to something they otherwise wouldn't;
• Agreements you think you have made over the phone can be ignored by the company as suits them.

Personally I think a phone call is often the quickest way to start sorting things out if you can take the 'stress' of a phone call. Just make sure that you ask for any agreement in writing before you take any action based on the agreement you think you have made over the phone.

Wonga as the face of the industry tend to be one of the more forgiving. Ring them and tell them you can't afford to make the repayment. Set up a repayment plan, they should freeze interest. Pay it off next payday.

Open a new account to pay your wages in, some companies will try to take payments even if you say you can't afford it.
