How to stuff a leather pouffee

Any suggetions on what filling to use? The poufee is round with a small zip on the bottom. Thought of polystyrene beads but think they may fall out before I get if full enough.

My leather poufee has a large mesh bag in side it. This bag is filled with beans and then knotted. The bag needs to be twice the depth of the poufee. This gives you enough material to hold up like a funnel when filling, and to knot.
