I am absolutely annoyed that I have just been accused of "trolling" and privately "abusing" someone because I strongly disagreed with what they said because they were naming somebody in a post.
They even went to the extreme of saying I privately messaged them abuse just because of what I said in the forum!!! As if I have the time with my 2 kids for that!!
Why do people feel the need to lie and over exaggerate their lives to make them feel better about themselves?
Absolutely unbelievable.
Grrr!!!
I am NOT a liar and will not be accused of such either.

It's the Nationwide mortgages post isn't it?
It looks like a one thread only troll - they're getting far too common round here.
Report the thread, hopefully the Board Guides will see it for what it is, they'll delete the thread and MRidgeway07 will be a vague memory this time next week...... Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0

sorry for sounding silly but what is a one thread only troll?
I didn't realise I could report it! I'm really annoyed that after all the complaining they did, they then turn around and say i'm privately messaging them! As if!0

yeah being called a liar by a random person on a forum is really not something to worry about! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Unfortunately everyone is entitled to an opinion.Thinking critically since 1996....0

There was a spate of trolls a while back but there seems to be less nowadays.
Just put them on your ignore list and they disappear...0

Id read that nationwide thread and the OP came across as a prat, you did nothing wrong so why let it bother you.0

Just post in the way you would talk face to face, realising that some people live to argue. The ignore button is your friend, use it!0

OP is 'venting' on the Vent forum - nothing wrong with that.0

I didn't see the original post but you weren't the only person to mention about posting an individual's name, although the other poster was possibly slightly less forceful (shall we say?) than you.
I agree that the edited post by the OP is nasty, especially the bit about you sending 'abusive' pms 'with harmful intent'.
You can either report the post to the Forum team or let it go.
As the poster in question was new and may never return to MSE, I'd be inclined to do the latter and forget about it.0
