Help, my 21 year old son has got in a mess with one of these companies, charges are mounting up, we have written to them asking for breakdown of charges ,but no replies.
in the meantime charges have rocketed upto £900
about six months ago I helped him pay one of his monthly installments and used my debit card.
out of the blue yesterday my bank account was debitted by this company for £900 leaving me with no money for my mortgage.
I'm nothing to do with this debt and not a guarantee or anything,
but it seems they kept my debit card details. My bank are not interested. what can I do ?

Your card is now associated with his file. Bad idea to use yours but you know that now.
If you kick up a fuss, people do seem to have some success despite their terms stating they can do exactly what they have done.
Who are the company involved, some a more reasonable than others. If it si Wonga, you may be in with a shot.
This is your Son's fault though, they are simply abiding by their own terms and conditions.0 -
Good luck getting your money back (really sincere OP), sit your son down and work out where he went wrong which led him to get a pay day loan, is he spending more than what he earns for example.0
