Soot on the Duvet Cover

Had a bit of flamingo up, while I was removing the board covering the old fireplace I got soot on my hands :eek: and stupidly put them on the duvet cover as I was getting up, whats worse is I got the white bit :o

I just looked in the indexed threads and they seem to cover every possible stain combination apart from soot. :eek:

Are there any nice kind people that know how to get soot off the white bits on t'duvet or should I trust it to faith and persil?
