Going From self employed to employed

I was self employed for just under a year but then sold my share in the business to my business partner. I agreed to stay on for a year before i go off traveling.
As the company the company was less than a year old i was unable to take out a buy to let mortgage beig self employed. Now that im employed does this mean that once ive been employed for 3 months i will be eligible for the same mortgage?
