I used to have the Pure 1500 DAB personal radio, it was great (it got stolen- hence past tense) but I'd easily replace it if I had the money.
If your not looking for a personal portable radio but want just a portable radio, the Pure Evoke seems like a decent one, I have a cousin who has one and her's can run on battery. Its a DAB radio though so not cheap, there are probably many other cheaper FM radio's which seem to start at around £5 in Supermarkets though it does depend on how much sound quality you value.0
