Job Acceptance Wording Help Needed Please!

I know this should be easy but I wanted to cover all bases just in case!

I went for an interview today and I've come home to an email saying that I've got the job (:D) and could I let them know when I can start and that the official offer of employment will be in the post next week

The job is part-time and the salary on all the adverts doesn't state that it is pro-ratad; if the salary is as advertised then I will have no hesitation in jumping for it, whilst if it is then financially I can't afford to take it - if that makes sense. (Yes I know I should have asked but.....)

Anyway would it be acceptable to email back and say that I provisionally accept the offer and will give them fully acceptance once I've seen the terms and conditions (ie I know exactly what the salary is) - would this give me the option of rejecting the written offer without any comeback?

Yes, although that doesn't really say anything!

Alternatively you could list your understanding of what is being offered and say that you are accepting subject to that being correct.

Remember not to resign until you have a definite offer with start date.

I know what you mean but unfortuantely my copy of the job advert was thrown out along time ago as I thought I hadn't even got through to the interview stage.

Oh don't worry I have no intention of doing that - almost got badly burnt once before so have been vey wary of that !

That would be complicated; the full terms and conditions (if it's a large employer) will be in the employee handbook, discipline and grievance procedure, etc and they may not have some of those in electronic form.

Just email back saying "can you confirm the salary is £xxxx for yyy hours worked and if it is I would be able to start from zz/zz"
