Reasons to be cheerful...

Hey now people! I havent been able to be about mouch in the past month, as I have been squirrelling away the overtime hours - but its a public holiday so we can rejoice! Thought a cheerful thread might encourage some of our newer posters to see it can be done...

What are your reasons to be cheerful this month?

Me? 2 public holidays - I needed them!:D
Payday! - And I still had money in the bank (which is now on its was to pay off more CC):D
Another month towards being debt free!:D
Aaaaand - Ive booked my first holiday in 4 years! Its being paid for entirely with what I have earnt in a month of overtime (including spending money) and Im as excited as a 12 year old. :j :j :j

If I continue to pick up the overtime at the same rate, I believe I can be CC free before i go on my break in July - its ALL going to debt repayment from now on in, to justify the holiday :A

PS. holiday was booked entirely the MSE way - nothing went on cards and I got £900 of holiday for £375 through priceline! - another victory for MSE:p

I am cheerful because we have got a free day off work, the sun is shining and I have got a lovely home and family.

And of course, like you am another day closer to be debt free!!

I'm off until Thursday so am going to spend some time with the children and get out in the garden and do some work. Wa supposed to be going away for a few days but I realised that the only way to afford it was to cut down on the amount of money I throw at my debt, so, I cancelled. Am going to prove to myself that there are lots of free or cheap ways to entertain the children!

Many reasons to be cheerful :) for me...

Essays although very taxing have been going well
Have managed to get an extention due to illness and now have a great doctor and some support from college

Also HOLIDAY! Yippeee! My friend's hen weekend in Alicante, although I grumbled about paying for it at the time, I am so glad to be going now, even though its the weekend before my essay deadline. At least I will be typing away by the pool, lol.
And it gets better, it is the same weekend as my birthday - I'm going to be 25! (Hope I get loads of great pressies)

I got my essay in on time on Wednesday, so don't have to fret about it this weekend:j

I have two DS who, though mischevious, are really cute. OH is ok too! I am not starving, thirsty or abused, unlike others in the world.

It is sunny on a bank holiday! Not that really is a reason to be cheerful, I can't remember the last time I didn't have something else to do on a bank holday, so I couldn't enjoy the weather what ever it was.

I'm going on holiday in September so I need to be really strict on my budget from now.

My parents are paying the deposit as my Easter Present. :D

Very productive day so far, which always pleases me!
    - gave away some old stepladders to someone from my local Freecycle group (they would have ended up on the tip, and the person who picked them up was thrilled with them!)
    - cut the grass, did some weeding
    - did some laundry
    - checked my bank account - the cutting down/getting better deals is paying off big time! Before my LBM I never checked it and hadn't a clue what was coming in /going out of my account
    - looking forward to carbooting with a friend tomorrow
    - seeing family over the Bank Holiday
    - the easter bunny might be kind and bring me a big milk chocolate easter egg !! :D

Actually, I'm a happy bunny today!! It's so great having a DFW 'family' !!
