Banks offering mortgage to buy property in India

Hi,

Does anyone know any UK Bank/Building Society that offers mortgage to buy a property in India?

Nobody over here as far as im aware.

If you already own a property you could remortgage that or take a further advance on it so the mortgage is secured against the property over here and then use that money to purchase the second property?

Otherwise i think you may need to go to india to find a bank prepared to lend on property over there.

But you have to be Indian to buy any property in India.If anyone has told you any different they are lying,
If you are Indian i would think the Indian banks do a good interest rate for borrowing money for a mortgage
