Finding 'knitters'

Does anyone know of a way of finding people who'd be happy to knit some small items for us to sell? No copyright issues, these are free-to-use patterns for children's goodies & fairly small sales volumes. Happy to pay a reasonable going rate,of course.

If you want local people you could check if there is a knit and natter type group near you, Ravelry.com is a online knitting forum and might be worth a look as they used to have a list of groups or ask in your nearest wool/crafting shop, they would know local groups or might let you put a postcard up.

Mum goes to a knitting group at her local Salvation Army once a week, so worth checking out local groups like that. Also if you could run to 'satchel post' in any local schools you might get some knitters that way.
