I have recently cleaned up my credit file & have started being accepted for credit, ie current account, mobile phone etc, although I have still been declined sometimes, as I applied for a credit card, and hp finance, I think the reason is because I am not on the voters roll, I applied one month ago to be registered on it, and on telephoning the council today, was advised that I will not be added until December, as Sept, Oct & Nov, the council say they do not add anyone in these three months, Is there anything I can do, as this is affecting my credit, Thanks

I doubt it - electoral rolls are a big job, so I doubt they'll do anything out of schedule for any individual (they're probably all tied up working out next year's council tax, anyway ). Best to wait and try not to fret, it will happen eventually. Meanwhile be wary of making too many applications for credit, as refusals can count against you.

Also bear in mind lenders like to see stability, so the value of being on the electoral roll builds up over years, so two or three months won't make much difference.
