Discount debt offer - I am SO fuming!

A few years ago my then bank without notice reduced my student overdraft when I was unemployed (but at the time had a h=job offer) without notice, causing me no end of grief, and refused to hear anything other than repaying the debt (which by then incurred charges for bounced DDs etc that otherwise would have been paid).
I offered to pay the amount outstanding at the time before all the charges were incurred which I thought reasonable (a couple of hundred pound), but it was refused, and my complaint to the FOS and the adjudicator failed. I would have gone to court but could not afford it.
Fast forward three years to the present and a debt collector has now been involved now that the FOS have adjudicated. And this is what really annoys me.
They have offered to accept a reduced one-off payment in settlement of the debt which so happens to be round about the same amount I offered to repay in the first place!!!!
So after three years of arguments, a wrecked credit file which otherwise would have been spotless, two complaints to the FOS costing the bank more than half of what I owed them, they now decide to accept the amount that I offered anyway.
I am well and truly totally f***ing fuming. I cannot put into words how miffed I am.
Oh, AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH
