Do we get a loan for our wedding?

I believe you will easily get the loan but suggest that you DON'T. A wedding is a wonderful occasion but really not worth the ridiculous expense. Please do think again. I would rather have a home of my own than a debt for one day. Your own home will last much longer than your wedding day. Good luck to you both and congratulations!0

Yes it is the most important day of your lives, but it's not how much you spend on it that makes it so.
I cannot think of anything worse than going as a guest to a lavish wedding knowing the couple have borrowed £4k that they'll have spend the next few years paying off.
As so many others have suggested, spend less on your wedding. I really doubt your guests will mind, and if they do then they're really not the sort of guest you would want at your wedding.
