Wonga not collecting payment

I'm on a repayment plan with Wonga and I've left the money that they need to collect (£97) in my account since 22/09 when they were supposed to collect but they haven't done so. I've attempted to contact them by phone but it's a nightmare to actually speak to someone, it just redirects to an automated payment line. I'm reluctant to make a manual payment because I'm repaying on a debit card, not by direct debit, so if I make my own payment, I'm worried that technically they could still try to collect their own afterwards.

The strange thing is that I've received no letters, no e-mail, no phone calls or texts from them at all and none of my contact information has changed. My outstanding balance has remained the same.

Has anyone else experienced this? Do Wonga just collect on their own date instead of the one they agree with you?

Did you set your new debit card as primary card ?
I have made a agreement and left the money in bank account will let you know what happens .
  • Yes, I have one debit card on file as my primary card. There is another linked to my account which is expired and there is no option to delete it either, but it's not set as primary so I cannot see why they would have any issues debiting the primary card. Plus, Wonga usually send a text as soon as they're unable to collect a payment to warn you of any charges.

And they still haven't taken my payment and no word from them! It's all very strange!
  • Have you tried emailing them?I've never personally tried to call Wonga, but I know there are plently of people on here that have and have managed to speak to people there.
