Anyone heard of truetwit?? (Twitter app, I think)

Options
Retweeted something for a comp earlier, and got a direct message from them saying they use "TrueTwit validation service" with a link.

Anyone else had this? It seems to be an app to validate that I am a real person not a bot, which I am fine with, but there are some reviews on google from people who seem to hate it - but I'm not sure if they're from people who are being asked to validate, or the ones doing the asking, if that makes sense.

Basically I am confused as to why it's got such negative reviews, wanted to see if I'm okay to clicky the link
:D

I've noticed it send out DMs, apparently from me, to followers saying I use it. I've never, to my knowledge asked it to. Should I worry?

    Hmm, that's odd

Did you sign up properly or just type the code in at the bottom? I'd be alarmed if it was the latter, they shouldn't have access to your account just from that.

Grannybiker - I would suggest you go into twitter and click on settings, then apps and you will see any apps that you have authorised to use your twitter. You can revoke access for any that you are not sure about.
