DMP/ mortgage queries

Hi - new person here. Been lurking for a while but now ready to actually deal with my debts.
Am thinking of starting a dmp with payplan. I have a bank account with bank x as well as a credit card and my mortgage. Currently my salary goes in there so I am just changing that so it goes to a bank account I don't have any debts with. My concern is my mortgage - which I can't move - could bank x do something that would threaten my mortgage as I will be technically defaulting on my overdraft and credit card with them once my dmp starts? Or is my mortgage safe?
Also I'm just about to (in a few weeks) finish one fixed rate deal and start another one which should just outlive my dmp by a few months. Is it worth holding off on starting my dmp til after the new fixed term is agreed for my mortgage because I'm guessing once I'm in a dmp I won't be getting any fixed rate deals for a while! Just gives me a few years mortgage peace of mind on a fixed rate deal.
Any advice gratefully received.

Hi Kaz
We have been on a DMP with cccs for three years our mortgage is with Nat West who is one of our biggest creditors with overdraft, loans and credit cards. We have never had a problem and the mortgage has continued to run smoothly. Also they stopped all interest on debts almost immediately.
Hope all goes well.LBM Dec 2009 Unsecured Debt £78,000:eek: Debt at December 2013 £16523.00).0 -
