My first experience with the bailiffs (I need urgent help)

  • oh right

Thanks for that advice. Im assuming that I would have to go through the house then and list things that are mine etc and then go to the solicitor?

That sounds like a good idea. It sounds silly but the only things that my husbands owns is stuff in the shed, sterio, latop etc the rest is mine.

Can you do this quite quickly and does that prevent the bailiffs taking my stuff for sure? x

You can do it tomorrow, if you can get an appointment with a Solicitor
and does that prevent the bailiffs taking my stuff for sure?

It doesn't prevent them from physically taking items (nothing can prevent them taking anything, from anyone), but it legally establishes that the item doesn't belong to the debtor, making seizure illegal.
  • thank you, much appreciated
