Just looked at my credit history and british gas placed 4 years ago at a previous previous address 2 defaults for gas and elec.
Ive never signed a credit a credit agreement, and no DOB is listed on the entry... can they legaly apply this default ?

Yes if they can, they have a right of supply.
As energy suppliers are free from APR's, they apparently don't need to have a CCA from you, although I would clarify this with British Gas and ask why they issued a default.
