How can I remove paint from a jumper??

Options
Do any of you wonderful people out there have any ideas on this one??
I have a favourite jumper and was stupid enough not to get changed when I did some painting. The jumper is I think an acrylic mix and the paint is that which goes on walls inside.Emulsion I suppose. Any ideas gratefully recieved. I haven't tried anything because I don't know what to use, and the jumper is pink but the paint is bright green. Silly me. Suppose if all else fails I could try and embroider something on it? Look forward to any replies. have to go out now but will look later. thanks in anticipation.

  • If the paint is still wet hot soapy water is the best thing to remove emulsion. i wouldnt use any chemicals as it will affect the colouring of the garment.

If it's emulsion paint then it's water soluble and should wash out...It may take a couple of washes to remove it completely.

    removing paint from clothes?

I'll add your thread to that one later to keep the suggestions together.

nail varnish remover has worked a treat, plus a rub through in soapy water afterwards. many thanks to you all. I know where to come in future.
