Providing payslips

A friend has been off work for quite a while. Company sick pay has been exhausted along with SSP. As she is still employed by the company should they be providing pay slips still?

If they're not paying anything, I'm not sure payslips are still required (but I could be wrong). Were they posting them regularly before? Did they pass on information to state that SSP was coming to an end, and advising what to do?Signature removed for peace of mind0
