I seem to be using kitchen towel like crazy. Normal roll 2-3 days and a fat roll 3-4 day!
I guess partly OCD to do with hating dish/sponge cloths.
I tend to stick to 50p per roll budget or fat roll equivalent.
If it's not napkin use, it's wiping down kitchen sides, blotting or drying food, spills, cleaning etc.

I don't buy kitchen roll i havent for years now, i use clothes/cut up towels and i'm abit fussy about germs so after one use there in the basket to be washed, we use wipes/face clothes for the kids and me and hubby don't use napkins we#ve never had the need for them.
The only thing i miss having kitchen roll for it soaking up grease on chips because it marks the towels.DEC GC £463.67/£450

I use Plenty as it seems to be one of the strongest to do the job, others just seem to fall to pieces. So I guess you get what you pay for with the cheaper ones.
You would be better using cheap versions of J clothes, cutting them into the size you need and throwing them away at the end of the day or bleaching them for another use.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -
I buy the value blue clothes, cost about 50p a pack, and chuck them in the wm, A pack lasts about 2-3 weeks, before they fall apart,
i do have Kroll but only use it for napkins,
for food spills or wiping up grease, use newspaper. xtoday's mood is brought to you by coffee, lack of sleep and idiots.

I get the 4 rolls from the £shop but mainly use it as tissues, or perhaps to cover stuff in the micowave. For cleaning up around the kitchen; bathroom, or loo i use clothes. Often old towels or tea towels,Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

Oh I am a fan of kitchen roll and wouldnt want to do without it! A roll lasts me about 10 days though.
I use old towels cut up for cleaning and j-cloths which can go in the washing machine or can be bleached overnight in the bowl. If you have a stack of clean cloths ready for using its just as easy to reach for one of them as it is to grab the kitchen roll.0 -
Another vote for old towels & sheets cut up & microwaved/bleached/washed/thrown out after use, as appropriate. I do buy kitchen roll just to blot up excess grease on fried foods, but that's the only use for it as far as I'm concerned. I agree newspaper would be hopeless as a cloth.
The mse use of newspaper is instead of buying curtains.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

If you insist in using paper to wipe surfaces you can use the cheapest toilet roll instead, the most basic economy one, it would do the job as well and would be cheaper. Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0

We don't buy it. Like others, use cleaning clothes, kitchen towels etc. i keep a bucket for used cleaning clothes in front of the machine and run a wash of them as needed.
Eit. For napkins we use....napkins. These get washed weekly usually. ( we keep our own napkin for the week)0
