You said you got offered a job and then the employer is asking you to give former employer's details to confirm your redundancy. What are you afraid of? He'll say something negative and you'll lose the job? If you refuse to give this info the employer can withdraw the job offer due to unexplained gap in your employment that you're refusing to prove.0

No the question was the job offer was made about 6 weeks ago and we are still waiting for a date, they have now said a senior manager needs to sign it off as he has been out of work for 13 months and is showing a gap in employment since July last year to now0
