Jam Jar Accounts and the Universal Credit

With respect have you thought of another way round your problem. Is jam jar a technical term ? I have a free bank account and money goes straight out of their into another free bank account for bills, which are a static amount. What's left goes into my jam jars in my kitchen. Maybe I just like jam jars:D
Having been stung by charges I have ebayed and swag bucked and birthday presented my way to have a permanent buffer in the account, which I don't ever drop below but I do have it in an emergency
Good luck, but maybe I've misunderstood, as I don't really get it either0 -

I really believe these accounts should be totally free and hate the idea of greedy people preying once again on those who really need help and not financial abuse :mad:LBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Do you need them to be the so called Jam Jar type that physically prevent you from spending from certain pots? not allow you spend from certain areas?
Or do you just like the idea of having different named pots within your account and feel you can trust yourself not to dip in to the ones you have set aside for other things?
If its the former I think you will have to pay. If the latter there are a couple of free current accounts that allow you to set up named pots within one bank account.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Thanks for link , now I get it. Hmmmm!
But I wouldn't pay someone to do it. Someone you completely trust to have your interests at heart could draw up a plan if they have a head for numbers . Then check its working . For free .0
