- THURSDAY 27TH September - What small DFW things will you be doing today?
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important

Well hello there my lovelies :hello:
Can I just jump up and down for a little while please?! It's hubby's payday! :j :T :j Woohoo!! Life is good. About £500 less than his last job's but he doesn't need to spend £250 a month on travel and I get paid about £150 more a month so overall there isn't that much difference. A much less stressy job (although it's still fixed term…) and a lot closer to home - no 3hr commute
Here's me:
- Hubby ain't going to the pub after training - I'm picking him up in borrowed car instead
- I'm not going to the pub at lunch - new guy on team (who I already know…) so can get away with making my excuses…
- Put a cheque in for OH for something he sold
- Send pal the money I owe her
- Off to Mr T's tonight for some essentials - write list and stick to it and all that.
- £1 for lotto syndicate - quadruple rollover and all that
- £2 in Christmas savings pot - small things make me happy
- PAD to cc - about as much as I would spend on lunch if I wasn't having it at home
- Do proper snowball - get all figs off OH
- Check out mascara from Boots - have £3 MOC :T
- Logged into old saving a/c - was pleased to see I had 20p I didn't know about :rotfl:
Catch up tomoz xxxx0 -

I have these twice a week for work lunches, but I don't put the powder on them I cook them in water then add a little sweet chilli sauce instead. They taste ok; better than starvation and keeps me away from the restaurant in my building.:rotfl:Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -

We're still planning our move; that's taking up our spare time. Today I will:
# Charge phone away from home. Done.
# Find out what partner bought for the new kitchen. :eek:Done.
# Moisturise dry skin with olive oil. Done.
# Discuss re-using some items from old house in new house for best security of doors and windows. Done.
# Look on Freecycle to see whether anyone can offer us an ironing board or gardening tools. We love Freecycle we've given and received loads. Done.
# Seal and label boxes to go into the loft when we move. Not done, not even started. LOL.
# OnePoll. Done.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -
Sorry I've been no show but my laptop broke:( It was in for repair but I was told it was too currupt to fix. Today I have/will:
1. Check online banking
2. Check for free kindle books
3. Walk dog locally (she now has dementia:()
4. Watch bridesmaids to send back to Lovefilm
