Paint concrete floor or not?

Sealing the floor with paint is a really good idea... concrete will always rub and turn into dust so anything that binds it together will help... they make special garage floor paint that lasts for years of normal wear and tare.0

Having previously painted our floor we now have a problem as self levelling compound cannot be used on top of it. We have to get the paint off which is a nightmare..
So just bear this type of thing in mind...0
