Agency/Temp Worker - How to get a mortgage

I'd avoid that option if I were you. You never know how far lenders will go to prove its not made up.
As has been said, 12 months previous with 6 at least in place, I can think of a couple of lenders so dont go down the fake mortgage route.0 -
I must have tried 10-15 brokers all telling me the same thing, that it would be impossible!!
One option I have thought of is:
I have a mate who owns a building firm who is prepared to write me a letter saying that I have 12 months work with him (even though I don’t).
My wage slips only give the name of the agency and not the company I am actually working for.
When the mortgage company rings up to check will they contact the agency or the company I work for (who the letter will be from)?
Or do they even ring up & check?
Thanks everybody for your advise.
Stu
Please do not get tempted to provide false information as the implications would be far far worse then you can imagine.
My advise:
- Try Contractormoney.co.uk
- If that does not work either, I would suggest you wait for another 6 to 12 motnhs before proceeding any further.
I am pretty sure you will be able to secure finances if you have at least 18+ months as a contractor, as I have just done that.
Hope this helps and best of luck.0 -

Hi, I have tried contractormoney.com as contractor money.co.uk doesn't exist.
They are calling me back.
I don't hold much hope now to be honest. I have been told no by around 20 lenders.
Thanks for all your help. Stu0 -
contractor money are a waste of time - typical bucket shop broker, won't be any use.0

Sorry that would have been .com instead.
Conrad is correct that these people are not going to be as personal as an independent good broker can be.
Conrad is an experienced adviser as well. I believe he would be better help to you then contractormoney people possibly.
Best of luck.0
