Hi All,
Does anyone know why my tax code would change from the normal to a BR without any notification to me from either HMRC or my Employer?
Thanks

When did the change happen? Was it 810L one month and BR the next?
BR is often used for a second job, the personal allowance having been used up at the first.
Have you asked your payroll department?Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

Thanks for that. Yes it changed from 810L from the last 3 months to BR from this. Doesn't make any sense to me.
Payroll can't tell me anything at the moment as they are processing pay. We get our payslips a couple of days early.Debt free as of 7.20am on 31st December 2012.
