Tax Query

Hi All,

Does anyone know why my tax code would change from the normal to a BR without any notification to me from either HMRC or my Employer?

Thanks

Wow. Feels great :j

  • When did the change happen? Was it 810L one month and BR the next?

BR is often used for a second job, the personal allowance having been used up at the first.

Have you asked your payroll department?

  • Thanks for that. Yes it changed from 810L from the last 3 months to BR from this. Doesn't make any sense to me.

Payroll can't tell me anything at the moment as they are processing pay. We get our payslips a couple of days early.
