I'm new.
I really want to get back on track financially. Living on an income that's £12000 less than it was with the same, if not higher, outgoings.
I'm married with 4 children and the eldest is at uni.
So far I have written to
Tax office to claim uniform cleaning rebate, I work for the NHS.
Tax office to claim overpayment in tax refund for myself and husband.
Bank to ask for list of charges as I believe we are in financial hardship due to the charges eating into our income every month, DD being refused etc
Credit card to get list of charges.
What else can I do?

Hi I would suggest you write up a statement of affairs. This will help you work out where your money is going and where you can make cuts. If you post it up here people can usually make some good money saving suggestions which will help cut your expenditure a lot.0

Hi ANS,
Depending upon your actual job within the NHS, you may also be able to claim professional subscriptions, ie to NMC and RCN/RCM which could also be backdated! Only a small amount but every little helps!!0 -
Hi
If you are at the stage of having DDs refused the I would cancel any direct debits you can and try to make manual payments as and when you know you have money in the bank to pay them. At least that will save some in fees.
Sounds like things are fairly critical. A statement of affairs as suggested will help you see clearly where your money is going each month and how far short you are of breaking even. If you post on here using the SoA calculator people will be able to make suggestions and advise on how to back on track.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
