Posted this on the telephones board but diodn't get much joy so thought it might be worth re-posting it here??
Basically, I've decided to ditch sky and move to Virgin media as the total price for tv, broadband, V+ and the phone-line will be a lot cheaper then my current cost for Sky+, BT line + Orange broadband max.
In true moneysaving fashion, and as I noticed a few discussions on here regarding special offers for existing customers, I thought I'd ask on here first before signing up to find out 1. Can new customers get any of these brilliant £xx.xx for life bundles that existing customers are being offered, and 2. Can I wangle any extra bonus' or discounts by going via. a cashback website or by being reffered by a friend whoi is an existing Virgin media customer??
Incase anyone else is thinking of joining Virgin, I've tried Quidco and Rpoints but neither offer a referral bonus, and the best deal I could find was by taking the '3 for £30' bundle from the virgin website you get a 'first month free' sign-up bonus (save £30) plus a £10 discount off your first bill for ordering online so you'd just pay £15 for installation. When I phoned up earlier the guy offered to waive the £25 installation charge but you wouldn't get the first month free offer as this is online only.
Thanks in advance, and I hope what I've researched so far will help someone...
