Mutual Support Partner??? £30k

Hi,

I have been on this site for the last few months and have finally sorted out exactly what i owe and who to (Scary!)

I am looking for a mutual support partner with a similar amount of debt to clear £30k to help me stay motivated.

I have started to pay things off but find i keep falling off the wagon, hopefully if i can find someone to do this with me i will keep going and hopefully achieve a lot more.

Anyone up for it?

    Brilliant!

Wasn't sure anyone was going to reply.

I have just updated my signature to show everything. I'm working on the theory if i treat this as a sort of confession it will motivate me to make my signature look better.

It's going to be a long struggle to get debt free but I really think I can do this now.

How much do you owe?? have you set any targets? Or DFD??

so far i owe Halifax £12000, Overdraft £3500, Credit Card ( Halifax ) £1700, Tax man £1075 and other Interest free £19500. I intend to pay this lot off in 3 years time. The first been the taxman. This isto paid off in a months time. This stuff has been hanging around for a while. Thats why I decided six weeks ago to get it sorted out. I listed everything and now its done to work to earn extra as well as selling items to pay bits off. It seems all the money you earn goes on paying debts. Miss a payment a loads of telephone calls at 9 am !!!. Anyway How do you want to start it ??????

    Hi,

Just realised after all that i missed off my overdraft of £1,500.

I have agreed to make fixed payments on some of the things and like you this has all been hanging around for a while.

I am aiming to pay off one thing at a time and try and set myself target dates for each debt (will do this later as at work at the mo).

First Aim is my sister I can deal with the banks calls but dont like owing her money even though she doesn't mention it.

Not sure of the best way to do this really i was just planning on keeping a log of everything i pay off and setting aims beyond that i didn't really think it through.

Just feels a lot better to have it off my chest and actually talk about it and start dealing with it.

As we are budding support partners now and helping eachother to get rid of our debt. How do you want to proceed from here ??. Email each other daily, or weekly ?, I think dealing with debt and helping each other i think you need more than emails. But i do not mind how we do it so long as the debt is paid off when we or self agree to do so.

Maybe a weekly update on here so we can see how we are progressing and then feel free to PM me should you need or want to update.

I have been looking into the matched betting threads on here and i am planning to start this on 25th April (payday).

I have made all my monthly payments for this month so far so my figures aren't going to alter much before then apart from any Amazon sales I can make and any money i can save from my budget.

This site has really helped me i just need to stick to my budget and set my aims for the next few months.

Rough DFD at the mo is December 2009 but want to try and get this to asap.
