The first week of the school hols are almost up and I'm running out of ideas to entertain my children - any suggestions? I live in the Aberdeen area and have a car.

We have painted eggs and wellies, made rabbits and painted them, been for walks, visited relatives etc.

Help! :j

what about taking the kids out to duthie park or hazelhead for the day, there is an animal park in hazelhead that my ex-ss then four really enjoyed (this weird fish that follows you across the tank!) and duthie park has the winter gardens.
balmedie beach is also lovely if this nice weather we're having holds up.

depending on how much you want to spend there is also storybook glen or slightly further away macduff aquarium.

As the weather is nice take them on the train to Stonehaven. I know you have a car, but young children really enjoy the novelty of the train. Play on the beach and have a picnic.

    Hi
Many thanks for all you suggestions, we are heading up towards the McDuff area today, so I think we will go to the Aquarium. Fingers crossed that the weather holds and we will be visiting Hazlehead and The Duthie Park next week.
    Many many thanks
