Council Tax

Hi
We recently moved into our new mid terraced house less than 1 year. I came across the VOA website by accident and find out that we are on council tax band C where the rest of our neighbours are on band B except the one on the end who has the massive land and technically could be considered as a detached house. There are only 5 houses that share the same postcode. Ours is the second on from the left with the smallest garden, loft is not converted, no garage.
We tried to appeal to have our band changed to B just like everyone else and was told that we couldnt do this as we live in the property longer than 6 months and the woman who is in charge thinks it is "sufficient". Our next door got a massive garden and next door but one even has their loft converted and a bungalow built on their land (in their garden area) and that is Band B.
We were also told that we couldnt appeal and that is the final decision.
My question is can you do anything about this? It is so unfair, we are technically the smallest house on the row and what criteria do they use to say that Band C is sufficient?
Any advice would be much appreciated
