Help me resurrect my broken brownies !

Hi

A colleague from work is leaving tomorrow, we are all bringing goodies in. I decided to make brownies, I've made them before no problem.

Tonight, whilst tight for time obviously, my brownies have just collapsed into a heap. They no not resemble brownies, but they do still taste lush.

Now, given their appearance the only thing I could think of doing with them is some sort of trifle. However we work in a big office, without a fridge, and it may not all get eaten tomorrow. So I think trifle is out.

Please does anyone have any ideas what I could do with them, so that they're still presentable enough to take in ?

Many thanks

Trigger

  • If you can get hold of some marshmallows and milk/dark choc then you could make Chocolate Goo slices.

Press all the brownies into the bottom of a tin (greasproof paper it first). Melt the marshmallows and chocolate altogether and then pour over the brownie base, put it in the fridge overnight and hey presto! Cut into slices and it should be fine left out. The choc and marshmallow once set will be sticky enough not to melt everywhere. x
    Looking for a fresh start
  • Could make a trifle type dessert with it, with either layers of cream, custard, caramel etc what ever u can get ur hands on:) and then top with some crushed up chocs on the top:) x

  • Hi you could try making those cake lolly type things, it tells you how to make them on the special occasion thread i think? if i'm wrong hopefully someone can point you in the right direction, if you don't have the lolly sticks you could make them to look like truffles.
    Hope this helps.
  • I was thinking cake pops too!

  • Hubby finished rugby training early and when he phoned I duly dispatched him to purchase some cooking chocolate. So it's been sort of mixed together and pressed into a tin, will go into fridge overnight.

    Fingers crossed !

There's nothing worse than something not working when you need it for an occasion. Maddening as there's usually no problem.

I'm sure it will taste nicer than it looks. Hopefully they'll just be polite haha :-D

  • If all goes wrong, bash them up into random shapes, pop them in a cellophane bag with a pretty bow and label them broken brownie bites!
