Do any of you old-stylers make your own confectionery? I mean things like humbugs, candy canes etc as well as fudge and truffles and other more common ones. I have ordered a book on how to make confectionary for a friend and would like to get her some bits to go with it to make up a sort of kit, particularly if there is anything that is tricky to get hold of. I have already thought of a sugar thermometer and also some fancy little paper bags for presentation and petit four cases. Any other ideas? I am sure the book might help but I am keen to get started collecting things together now!

Thanks meritaten, those are also good ideas. I will have a look on Ebay to see what they have - Lakeland only seem to have ones for chocolates and I think she has those already.0
