what about if you want to invest that many by buying unit trust/Oeics/shares... Which bank is best for that?

I've just been phoned by Carter Allen in few weeks they are indeed going live with internet banking.

The A&L Business Instant Reserve account now pays 4.69% AER on up to £49,999.

The Northern Rock Business Reserve account will pay 5.53% AER (on a min bal of £10k) from the 9th June 2007.

Note the NR guarantee:
