hello,
first off im in approximately 15K of debt.
secondly i have been saving each month to offer full and final settlements.
I have downloaded my credit reports from Equifax Call Credit and Credit Expert.
1. some of the debts are not listed on here although i know they exist i.e over 5 k with RBS. where have they gone?
2. there is a linked address with two RBS debts thats I have never lived at and is at a different end of the country.
Lastly Moorcroft are dealing with my RBS debt. When shelter contacted them for me i thought I owed £6947, now they are saying I owe them £9K. I can also see that they adding £6 every time they send me a letter but the account is meant to be defaulted.
Can anyone help me untangle this mess as Im not sure what to do know for the best?
Any advice would be greatly received.

~The ones that are missing, is it possible they are over 6 years and have dropped off you file.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Debts fall off you credit file 6 years after the original default. But that doesn't stop you owing the money.
Some debts are not listed ever on a credit file, eg some old current accounts did not routinely get permission to share information with the credit reference agency, and debts such as council tax and older utililites would not appear.
Re the moorcroft debt - when did they state you owe £6947? have you been paying towards the debt? just because an account has been defaulted doesn't mean that they will necessarily stop charging interest. Perhaps it has been increasing because of interest?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
