My sister uses hers for white wine. I think it was Heston who did it on TV and wine tasters couldn't taste the difference between a good wine fizzed and champagne apparently

I haven't done the maths in regards to sparkling water to be honest.
My partner drinks about 2L of fizzy juice a day so it saves me quite a bit of money!
To try and help, the canister when exchanging is £9.99, which will make up to 60L of water. So by my rough calculations that is 16p a litre.
Hope that helps.
Bearing in mind the value sparkling water in Tesco and Morrisons is currently 17p for two litres, it's not such a great buy, even at the discounted prices above it's still just over 13p a litre.
Shame because I do fancy the idea of a Sodastream - had one when I was a kid! Don't really drink fizzy stuff other than water though.0 -

Yeah I wasnt sure of the fizzy water prices. I use mine for diet coke and other fizzy drinks so it definately saves me money on those, even if I was buying own brand stuff.0 -

As you say, not such a great buy. We gave up on ours years ago when it became very clear that it was costing far, far more to make fizzy water than you could buy it for!
Just use the concentrates (if you like them - they're also much more expensive than non-branded equivalents) with fizzy water from the supermarket. You'll save a fortune - and a lot of messing about.0
