National Insurance Confusion

Hi all
Ok I am going to put my hands up and say that I am completely confused at the moment so I am relying on you lovely people to help me out.
I have recently been made redundant and from what I can gather I haven't paid enough national insurance to claim contribution based JSA and I have to much money to claim through means testing.
My question is this, if I signed on with the jobcentre is there any way that they would pay the National Insurance for me despite the fact that I am not eligible to claim JSA?

You can still claim JSa and get your NI credits paid for you, you just need to weigh up if its worth jumping through the numerous hoops the Jobcentre will require of you to get it. Remember you only now need 30 years worth of contributions to get a full pension."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0
