Im doing a Childrens Nursing Degree Bonnie, just started in Sept, currently work in Mental Health just now though, so Im very busy and its challenging, but I love them both. :D

Thanks for asking, but honestly, Im ok Kaz, went through a whole box of tissues yesterday... Id rather be alone and miserable for a short time, than together and miserable forever. This isnt the first time we have fallen out about the same thing, so Im as well cutting my losses now and accepting its never gonna be any different. I am concerned and hurt at the effect this is gonna have on the little one, coming in and out of his life but there is not much I can do about it now, except make sure it never happens again.

Anyway, tiny tot is cwtched up with cookies and milk and hopefully be off to brush his teeth and get ready for bed in five minutes.

There are WHEELIE BINS Flying around in the street!! I hope they dont hit my car!!!!

    Hugs and peckers, ladies :D

And hi to new and returning flyladies!

I have got the clothes out for morning, and sorted my bag. It will be a rush. I have to get the kids off to nursery, get back and do the last report (which should have gone tonight only I've not been sent what was promised grr) and then have a cab coming for 9.30. And still not entirely sure where I'm going, Doh.

Have put my brolly in! Flying will have to wait till kids have gone to bed...

    Advice please...

If a bloke seems to find fault with 90% of what you say or do (or what you don't say or do) and when you talk about it he says YOU are making the problem, is he taking you for a f888ing mug?

    :o:cry:

yes.. he is manipulating you and being a [EMAIL="w@nk£r"]w@nk£r[/EMAIL].

Today's round up of what I set out to achieve:

    [STRIKE]Finish ironing[/STRIKE]
Take stuff out from under bed
Look into doing eb*y (not done it before and don't know where to start with selling!)
    The lists - some!

    Hello deus!

I have only just started eb@ying and have got the bug already. It took me hours to get my first item listed (and if you haven't already got a P@yP@l account it takes even longer), and then it didn't sell the first week, but I relisted and it has gone for the price I was hoping for. Yesterday I managed to list another 5 items in the time it had taken me to do the first one, and already two of these have watchers, so I am hopeful of a bit more cash coming in for stuff that is cluttering up our house. :j

Thanks for the encouragement ionafan. As you can see, I didn't get round to doing any eb*y today, but it is still on the list to do at some point.

    Today's listy progress:

Monday - Living Room, Hall & Stairs
    Level One
    DONE
    Level Two
    DONE
    Level Three
Sort out a neglected drawer - no drawers in these rooms, but will try to do kitchen cutlery drawer at some point
    Extras
    DONE

Tuesday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level one
    Hoover and mop floor
    Level Two
    Clean a window
    Sort the under sink cupboard
    Level Three
    Wipe the worksurfaces over
    Dust on top of shelves/cupboards/furniture
    [STRIKE]Empty bins[/STRIKE] - done today
    Extras
Defrost freezer - doesn't need doing but I do need to start a freezer inventory due to my recent batch cooking efforts
    Wipe some door handles

Tomorrow's list looks do-able - although I do hate sorting out the under sink cupboard! ;)

toochoosey - healing vibes to the dinner lady
jo - sounds like you are a strong woman who knows what is best for her and the LO
  • I tried to phone the freelance appliance repair man we've been using for years a few weeks ago (can't remember what had broken down, but something needed his attention) only to realise he's retired. Wouldn't you just know it, the wretched washing machine started leaking yesterday and despite cleaning the filter (ooops, should have been done weeks ago, slap wrist for not following Flying List) and lying all the dog towels in front of it, it had flooded the carpet by this morning. The good news is, we've found out who took on our old repairman's customers, and it's one of the businesses we buy second hand appliances from anyway. The chap who ended up coming out and sorting out the problem is the man who delivered and installed it four years ago! The first two loads were said dog towels which are now on the line waiting for it to rain. Flying has been limited to mopping up and dragging the dehumidifier up a flight of stairs to set it going near the flood.

I'm in for this week, but as usualI suspect I'll be doing the wrong rooms each day - at least something will get a bit of attention. Despite that, thanks for the lists, they give me something to aim for.
    Better is good enough.
  • After such a successful day today, I'm looking forward to tomorrow. Have to do going out and earning a wage work first, though, so won't have as much time tomorrow.

My plans for today went out the window.

Went out to work in the rain, got so cold and wet after being out less than an hour it took me nearly 2 hours to warm up enough to do anything :( I ended up spending the afternoon wrapped up on the sofa doing paperwork.

Got a phonecall from DD as I was about to leave to meet her to say she was just waiting for her friend and jumping the bus with him so no need to meet her. I had to go to Mr A anyway so I went to get the shopping. As I come out DD is walking along from the bus stop on her own. Her friend hadn't shown up so she'd come home alone, in the rain, with a brolly up, carrying a rucksack on her back, her violin and a crutch  How on earth she didn't manage to knock someone out I don't know. So I took the violin and we started walking home.

In the space of the 0.7miles I nearly got run over 3 times thanks to DD "zoning out" (she goes into her own little world) and me having to get her to move/stop at the roads. There's only 7 roads to cross in total and one of those has traffic lights  I've noticed this happening more often so we've been to see the doctor about it. She's asked us to keep a diary so we're trying. I asked DD was she aware of any occurrences today and she informs me that she "lost" 15 mins or so this morning standing at the bus stop and missed about 4 buses meaning she was nearly late for school :( I'm going to walk her to the bus stop tomorrow and put her on the bus. ;) Roll on the referral to the hospital, okay so its another department for us to go to, but I'd rather she missed school for medical reasons than walk in front of a bus or lorry as she's zoned out  I wouldn't mind if that was a worse case scenario but she's done it a couple of times when I've been with her and I've grabbed her and pulled her back to safety. _pale_

Nicky how worrying for you. I hope the appointment happens soon.

Dusty I hope DS feels better soon. Did you get to grips with your paperwork.

toochoosey recovery wishes for your colleague.

Jo and Bonnie sorry you're having grief from OH's

A warm welcome to new and returning flyladies.

A day at home today so I will tackle the lists and try to get ahead as I have a friend coming for lunch on Thursday. The house is in CHAOS state.

Parents evening went well for the youngest 2 last night. It was a 'any concerns' consultation so we were in and out like there was a revolving door.

The Cold War is not improving. He made it a lot worse in fact. I've emailed him as we are not talking.

I need to get up to make packed lunches. dS3 has a school trip today so a little more attention to detail is required.

I hope everyone has a good day
