Really need to go to bed now, but needing advice. I am not an impulse buyer, I like to know how much things are and shop around, but today with OH in tow we spot a hotpoint condenser tumble dryer in b&q on clearance down from £319 to £159 + £20 delivery. My tumble dryer has been tripping out, so he of course tells me to just buy it.
When I am home and checking my bargain, which I can of course change my mind about. I find that nowhere seems to be selling it for more than £229. Now it is still cheaper, but I feel a bit mislead by their original price and can't help but feel if I had waited, I could have maybe got a better one. I like the ones that look like washing machines, not the ones with big white doors, like this one. But I suppose I am just being fussy and all that.
I don't want to upset the OH, but he doesn't do the washing.
Last week I had to buy a new washing machine as the bearings went, got a great one on comet clearance for less than the tumble dryer..only £176 delivered and old one taken away. Which is £269 new online and it is immaculate, so pleased with it.
I really don't know whether to cancel the order completely or not. Better sleep on it I suppose.
I would say not to get a condenser dryer, they never work as well as a vented one. Take longer to dry and never get things totally dry.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
