So I bought DS a lovely new umbrella to take to uni and he hasnt even gone yet, and took it out one night and has lost it!!! Good job I didnt let Nannylala buy him the uber expensive one she wanted to get him;)and it was just a cheapie..We go through so many in our house because he loses them all the time..kids!Last thing I said when he went out was make sure the brolly comes back:eek::eek:

That made me smile Nikki, my DS1 acquired an umbrella from the Hotel Intercontinental when he stayed in London for the YE finals. First time he used it when he got home he lost it. Couple of days later it was absolutely chucking it down and I had both sons in the car. A man was walking past our house with an intercontinental umbrella, I stopped and told him my son had lost one, he said he had found it and handed it over. Poor bloke then got soaked, I did feel a bit guilty. DS has just gone off to school with the brolly in question. Don't know about your son but mine is the same with sunglasses, I bought some for him a couple of months ago for a tenner and two weeks later he had no idea where they were. I told him it will be Primarni in future.

  • Morning everyone - hope you are all well.

Thanks for the new thread Issy - just going to read the last of the old one and then catch up with this one. Haven't been on for a few days and tbh was glad of a rest from sada as well. I was getting to the point of trying to think of stuff to get then thought what's the point? I've managed to get more than enough of what I need and use really. I'm so glad I was there at more or less the start of the glitch as I sure as heck wouldn't like to plough through everything now!

Belated birthday wishes to all the people I missed in the past few days and so glad the Cove is blue, jamsponge :)
  • Before I go I will leave you with this thought for the day, seems a good way to start the week.

" Instead of putting others down, try improving yourself instead. The only person you have a right to compete with is you. In the meantime, treat others how you'd like to be treated. One trait that some of the best communicators share is empathy. A couple of kind words can not only make a person's day, but earn you a friend and supporter for life. For the rest of the week, whenever you see someone you want to judge negatively, pay them a compliment instead. See what happens."

I think this is a great philosophy..I sometimes find myself wanting to "have a go" about something and then realise its only me that is going to be negatively affected by it so I either say nothing ( most of the time:o) or try to say what I want in a more positive way..I refuse to let others impact on how I feel :D
    If it's full price I don't buy it..if its 50% off I will consider it..if it's whoopsied and I have a coupon its in the trolly! ;)

Good morning all. I have been a secret lurker for the past week on your old thread and just thought I'd say hello and a big thank you for all the info :) I've only done a couple of sada glitchy shops. I got an apg for £9.19 the first time and one for £19.85 on Sat (got in their just before the cap). I had to completely wing the second shop, it was poo and cereal and the rather small sada I went too didn't have some on the items on my list so I had to remember what I'd read. Luckily it panned out. I spent £35 that time so it was a nice return. May do a little battery shop at some point :)
My 20 month old daughter seems to be enjoying it as she hates tinned rice pudding but LOVES the ambrosia one - go figure!
Again thank you for the info. I actually spent the £9 apg on stuff for the local food bank so its been a great help. :)

    Welcome LaaCaz
