thanks for this DSG
we do have a dropped kerb...as does every house on our street (so no reason for them not blocking next doors driveway!)....but as far as I'm aware, the highway code states this as a 'DO NOT'...which according to my driving instructor last year meant it was basically a courtesy issue. If the highway codes states 'YOU MUST NOT' then its classed as legally binding. The police officer that came out earlier in the year seemed fairly confident that it wasnt an offence, but either way, its hardly courteous, especially as they're not even delivering to my house!! Thats the other ironic thing...whenever I've had A or T deliver, they always park directly in front..so even they dont block me in!!!!
I've saved the doc on your link though and will look into this further when I complain to A's...and use this as added ammunition
Next time you visit a, park infront oftheir delivery gate, leave a note and tell them you wont be long, and to put out a tannoy announcement out if they need you to move :rotfl:Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.0 -
I do hope so. I have a purse full of appletize vouchers taking up space!
Mmmmmm appletiser.............Talking of neighbours and parking, mine always leave theirs in front of my lawn, and never so it blocks their own view.
Plus the people opposite always park on the road, so I can hardly get out my drive.
Today some kid was coming down the middle of the road on a scooter - would love to have got hold of his parents.
My neighbours I share a wall with (and can't stand) are always parking one of their two cars in the shared space in front of my lawn, they did it even when they only had one car and I could never understand why they wouldn't park it on their actual drive!
Sometimes I used to park my car in the shared space and leave my drive empty for a couple of days just to make a point! Plus it's a SHARED space, not THEIR space! Idiots! No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

I was passing TKMaxx recently when a young man was having an epileptic fit on the ground right outside their front door - I ran inside asking for their first aider and the staff just looked at me with blank stares. Luckily there was a security guard from another store who helped him.I was under the same impression, that they had to have a first aider on duty at all times! I would definitely contact head office and create merry hell!!! Was he OK in the end, did you take him to A&E?Thank-you to everyone who posts comps :beer:0
