Quick tip if you are going to sell on a well know garage sale site, :D send everything recorded. I have had tons of stuff go 'missing'. I know it does happen from time to time but it does seem to happen a lot with stuff just sent normally. :)

Recorded is a waste of money, they still leave things without a signature. If the item is not expensive (under about £40) then just get proof of postage, then if they say the item never got there, you can claim from Royal Mail. If it is worth more than that, the only way that you are truly covered is with special delivery. HTH

    Moan alert!!

Nearby neighbours keep parking opposite the end of my drive, making it difficult and sometimes impossible to get off my drive. I am fed up with having to keep finding people and asking them to move their cars.

I should explain we are on a new housing estate that is still being built and opposite the end of drive is temporary builders metal fencing that somehow attracts inconsiderate people to park in front of it.

Yesterday was particularly annoying as a van was completely blocking my way onto my drive, the person driving it was near it so I asked them to move it and a woman popped up from somewhere and said there was space for me to park around the corner!! I told her there was space for me to park on my drive and told them to move the van!

I hate confrontation with neighbours I just can't understand why people aren't more considerate, it always seems to be a case of I'm alright Jack stuff anyone else.

We have the same problem (except our estate was finished 10 years ago) our house looks out onto the side of another house across the road, and people think its Ok to park along that side. this means for us to get off our drive is really difficult and we have to drive over the corner of our garden (need to put full lock on) and then reverse and do that again. Its a cul de sac, so its not a wide road at all.

When we mentioned it to a few people they still parked there, but drove onto the pavement opposite with two wheels, blocking it from anyone walking up. There is no pavement on our side, so people then have to walk in the middle of the road or worse, think its Ok to walk this side, which is right over our front garden! :( (and its a direct route to the nearest secondary school so theres lots of kids on schooldays!)

    <sigh> here we go again.

Just back from a couple of hours off to see it has all started again so once more for those who didn't see it the first time:

Please stop bickering! The ethos of this site is be nice to all moneysavers.

I do my best to keep this thread on track but TBH it is getting to be a nightmare lately. All the aggravation and arguments, bickering and unpleasant comments will only lead to the thread being CLOSED, possibly permanently, if it continues.

You have regular members just coming on here just to say hurtful things to members. I wonder if this is diberlty.

I send everything recorded and put in big bold print must be signed for and touch wood everything upto now has been signed for. :)
before Christmas I was sending up to 10 parcels a day and half of them were getting lost which was hard to believe. I think there are a large amount of scammers on there. It's about time eBay starting closing down account where large amounts of stuff does not arrive.

Quoting myself here so peeps know what I am referring to. HQ have spoken to the store concerned and they are 'looking into it' - they will call me back probably tomorrow. They don't seem to know much about how the system works and seemed to be hoping that the problem would just go away by tomorrow! I hope so too.

Me three, thanks for letting us know. Doesn't look like it will be working any time soon then.

It's really mucked up my little system, hopefully we can get the APGs in time for a shop tomorrow, not getting my hopes up though :(

Anyone noticed anything different with pears this morning?

The soap and hand gel were next to each other on the shelf, the soap was same price as yesterday but the gel had a 60 p SEL - wish now I'd taken a picture as I'm not convinced.

Now if I'd actually done the shop i intended to do - equal numbers of pears, kitkat chunks and some fillers, just to use some small value APG and they had gone through at £2 at the till rather than 60 p then at least you could have got a gift card ...

This is "ancient high house" town if anyone wants to check and I know someone from mse visits there because the girl said she had had a full value APG at a till during the week :D

Are the kitkat chunks gliticing with the soap? i haven't seent his mentioned before please :)

Amazon close account where people decide they want a refund. So it is about time they did. It is a pain because if you regularly sell and then you have to send a replacement you are waiting on Royal Mail for a refund. So it's less money to be able to operate with.

What also make me angry is when people buy something on buy it now and then decide they have found a larger quantity of the product that works out cheaper per item. They then come and want a refund. For everyone of them you get that another 20p lost.
