I'm no good at maths but I am good with spreadsheets. At home feeling sorry for myself with the cold and kicking myself that I had a voucher capped last night (that'll teach me to go out loaded with a cold). I've been playing about with numbers to see if I can get a simple set of rules to follow given the new cap.
What I have below is based on the Waitys 3 for 2s and assuming you get the cheapest trigger ie pot of rice.
# items, max total of glitchy, APG ex fillers (av glitchy item cost)
3 items, £14, £13.54 (2 @ £7)
6 items, £15, £13.67 (5 @ £3)
9 items, £16, £13.81 (8 @ £2)
12 items, £17, £13.99 (11 @ £1.5)
If you can remember 14, 15, 16, 17 (total cost of glitchy items) ....
Then you should be able to match that to 3, 6, 9, 12 (total number of 3for2 items)
I hope the above makes sense but what I've tried to work out is the average price & maximum price (depending what's easier to remember) of the glitchy items and the APG based on those items. The list allows £1+ for any APG you'll get on filler items. My best shop using this theory has been (based on what I buy, not necessarily the best option for everyone):
Ambrosia - 40p
Duck Fresh Discs - £2
Duck Fresh Brush Refill - £3
Quaker Oats - Golden Syrup - £2 (multisave of 2 for £4 calculates correctly)
Quaker Oats - Sweet Cinnamon - £2 (multisave of 2 for £4 calculates correctly)
Alpen - Apple & Sultana - £1.98
Alpen - Summer Fruits - £1.98
Alpen - Choc & Fudge - £1.98
Alpen - Choc & Coconut - £1.98
This gives an APG of £14.73. If anyone can explain it better, please feel free!No one can make you feel inferior without your consent ~ Eleanor Roosevelt0 -

With the JF offer, can you buy any JF product or does it have to be something in particular? Could someone tell me please as I am off to Sada in a bit.
Thanks for posting that Bertolli is not working. Would have lost out on that one. x x x0 -
Hi, after spending all last night reading hundreds of posts I've had a go! Lots of ambrosia on the shelf at my local Asda so bought one pot plus 5 boxes of cereal and a few other items I wanted and have got a voucher for £15. Spent £22.06 on this shop. Next question, should I use this voucher to buy more glitch items or should I just buy a normal shop and buy the glitch things separately? I don't live near the shop, normally an online shopper so not practical to go there every day. Should I walk in and out of the shop a few times or try to put things through the till in several transactions? Also what's best for redemption of this £15 voucher - self service tills or one with a sa? Can i save the £15 vouchers and use together for a larger purchase? l Don't want to be treated like a criminal instore!0

I get it but it's over complicated considering some have problems counting to 3!!
an easier rule would be to keep your shop to around £16-17 and then your APG would come out around £15"He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin

Use it to buy whatever you want, also dont worry about doing multiple shops.
If anyone questions the value of the voucher just say "im suprised you havent heard i thought all staff had been briefed, its been all over the news" :rotfl:TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0
