Stupid Question - Peas in a Pod

Options
So sorry for this stupid question...

I'm making stew and just remembered that I bought a big bag of peas in their pod and as they were reduced (20p :D), I just chucked them straight in the freezer as it late in the evening.

Do I have to now cook them in their pods first then pod them and add the peas to the stew or can you eat them in their pods, in which case I'll just put them straight into the simmering stew.

Feel free to poke fun at my idiocy :rotfl:

  • Are they young peas? If so, you could eat the pods although they probably would still be a bit stringy. I would pod them, and then add the peas to the stew. You wouldn't have to cook them before podding. HTH!
  • Thanks!!! I thought just because they were frozen I should cook them :o I just let them defrost :D
