I just called into my local sainsbury. (quite a small branch in a rather posh area) and they were having a move around of the stock.
Anyway they had some quilted toilet rolls (12 for the price of 9) with an extra £1 off. I was just about to buy some, when I noticed the same toilet rolls in a pale blue colour with and extra £2.20 off.
When I queried with the sales assistant if this was right, she said "oh yes" we are struggling to sell them as blue loo roll isn't fashionable anymore :rotfl::rotfl:
Guess who will wiping where the sun don't shine with the most unfashionable (so last seasons) loo roll for the next couple of months

I knew I should have kept that email from Andrex...I had issues getting a pack of their blue around 6 months ago so asked them where I could buy it only to be told it wasn't a great seller and they were not making it anymore, try one of the new colours.
This would have been fine but for the fact DS3 will only use Andrex and will only use blue loo roll...:D
We are persevering with the white but boy its been hard work if any kindly person knows of a stash of blue anywhere please let me know I'll love you forever!0 -
What does he do if the acceptable loo roll is not available? I mean, I would have thought that the options were pretty limited, as in, use what's offered or wash yourself or spend the day in soiled pants!0

The plot thickens . .
I have just been on the phone to mum (think hyacinth bucket god love her) and told her about my blue bargain.
She told me that waitrose blue loo roll is cheaper to, but she doesn't buy it because it clashes with her towels :eek: :rotfl:Well Behaved women seldom make history

Would he use non andrex blue if you put it in an old andrex bag or would he know?
DS2 doesn't mind what sort we have as long as its white, but we have to make sure to tear it off along the perforations, or he unwinds it so it is even... Or all on the floor, whichever comes first...0 -
Its a sensory thing re the Andrex he 'feels' if its different..its a bit of a nightmare to be honest.
He wipes with pampers babywipes (sorry if too much info):o then dries with his paper..
It has taken us so many years just to get him to this stage it has been a bit stressful for him and us! (he has special needs)
Spiky unfortunately it was on a roll so can't hide it but as I say we are persevering currently with just plain white god forbid I try patterned :eek:0 -
I remembered you'd said about DS before, so I don't think its TMI but then I live with our own issues... DS2 is 9 now & struggles to wipe himself...
White Andrex & a blue light bulb? I wonder if the blue smells slightly different from the dye or whether it does feel different enough for your DS? Not that knowing which it is really helps get it...
I wonder if emailing/phoning local supermarkets would locate any they have? I say email as you could do 1 email for them all in 1 go.0 -
I once bought some hideous salmon pink loo roll that was cheaper than the other colours in the same range. I also once got some really cheap white loo roll covered in red flowers. I soon found out why it hadn't been popular when every woman who visited my house thought her period had started early!0
